Why do we need information warfare?
There are three main aims of information warfare that are:
- To control the information space to use it protecting the military information functions from the actions of the enemy.
- To use the control over information for the information attacks providence.
- To raise the general efficiency of the military forces with the help of the military information functions use.
The protective function of information warfare is the safety precautions the main aim of which is not to allow the enemy to have the successful information attack on the information functions.
The modern ways of defence such as software security and communicative security are the typical ways on the finding of military actions of enemies. Such actions as computer security and software security include actions on the prevention of the direct information attacks from the side of the enemy as well as organization of response attacks.
All actions taken during the information warfare are directed to achieve the main aims of the war that means to get victory. But some methods of information warfare are used during the peaceful time to form the certain opinion in the society and make the government weaker and not so united. That is why some countries of the world take all possible measures to make the access to Mass Media and other sources of information used by society not so free for the international foreign access. Information warfare is much more dangerous than it may seem.
