The richest source of information
If you ask anybody what the richest source of information is, he/she will certainly answer that it is internet. And it will be truth. You will never find so much information on so different topics like in the internet. And even libraries can't be compared by the number of material, speed of working, convenience of work with the internet.
But there is one problem with it. The majority of information that we find in the internet is not worth anything. And not every person is able to tell the real useful and true information from gossips and made up data. It is necessary to find the pieces of knowledge in the amount of information. Libraries keep knowledge and internet keeps information. And this is the main difference of libraries from the internet. From this point of view library is certainly more valuable as the source of information than the modern blessing of humanity that is internet.
Another problem is that it is badly organized and has no structure at all. And in such way the words of William Pollard are especially true: "Information is a source of learning. But unless it is organized, processed, and available to the right people in a format for decision making, it is a burden, not a benefit."
Nevertheless according to statistics 75% of people will turn to the internet in the case if they need to find information. And only 25% of people will turn to libraries and other sources of information such as Mass Media.
